Avalon Castle, situated in the tranquil countryside, just 10 minutes from Silver Lakes and 30 minutes from Johannesburg International, is a magnificent turreted three storey castle comprising some 2,200 square metres of reception and conference areas as well as accommodation.
Avalon Castle is set in 12 hectares of landscaped beauty including several fountains, a moat, bridge, dam, sweeping driveways, paddock, stables undergoing refurbishment, crystalline circular swimming pool, working water mill, and the grounds are stocked with a variety of game and exotic birds.
Avalon Castle boasts the Crystal Ballroom and Patio, The Africa Lounge and Terrace. Marquees of various sizes can be erected on the lawns.
Opening later this year are the Friar Tuck Restaurant and Sherwoods Nightclub. A fully equipped Gym with sun-bed is also available.
A Chapel in the main building and two Gazebos on the lawns to the front are suitable for wedding ceremonies. Indoor and outdoor heating afford year round comfort for your wedding or function.
Attractions and activities in the local area include golf, horse riding, hot air ballooning, flying, game parks, and rhino park.
World class shopping is only minutes away at east Pretoria?s Menlyn centre, which also houses cinemas, an extensive choice of restaurants and an arena. There are many museums and art galleries locally and in Pretoria itself, and the world famous Cullinan Diamond Mines is just 15km from the Castle.

Providence is a purpose built wedding and function venue. Set in the beautiful garden of a gracious Natal country house amidst the luxurious forests above Nottingham Road, Providence has been built in the Natal Victorian style with red bricks, green roofs, wrap around verandahs and courtyards. Providence also has a charming ivy-covered chapel nestling amongst a grove of pine trees. Designed to cater for up to 180 guests, Providence has the facilities and infrastructure to cope with numbers. The hall is extremely versatile and can easily be adapted for parties as intimate as 80. The venue comes fully equipped with tables, chairs, table-clothes, chair back covers, cutlery, crockery, glass ware and waitresses, and there are no hidden costs. Not included are floral or other decorations of the venue. We will only take one booking per day thus ensuring our undivided attention to your function. We don't have a cut-off time for the end of the evening so that the function can run its course in a relaxed manner. Providence is personally run by Kevin and Fern McComb. We can provide a full wedding service from the sending of the wedding invitations, to the ordering of the wedding cake should you so wish. However you may like to take care of some of these arrangements yourself. We can be of assistance in this regard by recommending approved suppliers and operators such as flower arrangers, photographers and discos etc.
